Saturday, September 8th, 3-5 pm Sign up with the Maggie Black Gallery (815) 599-1724. It's been a rather busy and chaotic couple of months because my husband and I have been working on moving to Indiana. It's amazing all the things that take so much time and energy from preparing the house to sell, finding a new house and the process of buying and closing, selling our old house, having garage sales, packing, unpacking, canceling old and setting up new utilities, getting to know the new area, etc....etc.
I’m feeling sad now that I’m starting to pack up my studio space in preparation for our move. I won’t likely be able to work get too much studio work done again until we find and move into a new house. So I’m sad to be leaving this space that has really helped me break into and explore the world of encaustic painting, and I’m also sad that this means for several months I will probably not be able to work on my art. Fare thee well my precious studio space.
Here are a few photos of the exhibition currently on display at the Brickton Art Center in Ridge Park, IL. Carrie's Quick Clips: A close up look at some encaustic fusing with a torch. Looking forward to the Bijou at Brickton group exhibition by the FUSED Chicago encaustic organization. Opens March 3rd, with a closing reception on March 24th.

I am excited and honored to announce that my artwork will now be represented by the Maggie Black Gallery. Paintings from my Horizon Lines series and Exploration series will be available for sale along with an amazing selection of artworks within this Galena, IL gallery.
