Distorted Places series
This series evolved from the Horizon Lines body of work and is influenced by the memory of rural and natural landscapes. Carrie explores how we attempt to recall a sense of place—where memories, often fragmented or distorted, surface through awkward shapes and imperfect forms. These works reflect the tension between what is remembered and what is lost, offering a visual language for the flawed and shifting nature of memory as it tries to reconstruct a moment in time.
