Horizon Lines series

Several of these small works were created as study paintings to experiment and test various techniques in which to incorporate foliage and atmospheric perspective within encaustic paintings. The Horizon Lines series was inspired by Carrie's longing to venture outdoors where she can embrace the desire to explore nature's beauty and ever strive to continue farther and farther in pursuit of reaching the unobtainable…horizon line.
