Growth With Change series
The series titled GROWTH WITH CHANGE was inspired by a friend. She is an amazing young lady who was about to graduate with her bachelor's degree and was nervous about moving to a new place to continue her education and pursue her Ph.D. As I thought about her situation, she reminded me of a young sapling preparing to establish strong roots to better grow into the world.
While working on this series, I thought a lot about my young friend. I thought about how even though she was nervous about the new changes to come, she had the courage to continue looking ahead. The process of creating these works involved a lot of layering, which reminds me of the effort it takes to look toward the future and to take steps toward accomplishing a goal.
